Granada Glazing is a designer, manufacturer and installer of aluminium secondary glazing products. We have manufactured high quality, bespoke glazing products since 1984. Our 40,000 square feet manufacturing facility houses CNC and metal forming machinery, supported by a state of the art powder coating line.

As industry leaders, we specialise in manufacturing glazing products that boast exceptional acoustic and thermal properties. Working with over 500 trade partners across the UK and major contractors, we can install secondary glazed units for both residential and commercial markets. Granada supports both supply only and supply and install projects.

Our head office and manufacturing facilities are based in Dinnington, South Yorkshire. we are easily commutable from Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield via public transport and are 5 minutes away from junction 31 of the M1.

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our marketing team as a Group Marketing Executive based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. You will write creative and informative content optimised for social media, multiple websites, online ordering, trade and commercial PR and E-shots.

You must be a forward thinker, an experienced marketer who will aid with all aspects of the groups marketing activity, work as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and distribute email marketing campaigns measuring the overall effectiveness
  • Maintain marketing lists ensuring current contact details are correct and up to date
  • Build customer relationships, recognise market trends and help build and implement a marketing strategy
  • Update product information and ensure total accuracy
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new ideas, new marketing opportunities and new market sectors
  • Utilise Adobe creative suite to design marketing content
  • Guide and provide content to (including videos) the software developers to create online ordering.
  • Create a detailed competitor analysis

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a Marketing Role
  • Marketing degree or CIM is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A fully trained Production Operative is an expert in manufacturing activities and processes.

Required Attributes and Qualifications for the position of Production Operative:

  • Good physical fitness – This is a highly physical role and production workers may spend their entire shift on their feet while also bending and lifting heavy items
  • Must be safety cautious – Follow safety procedures and Company policies. Use correct PPE for each job.
  • Attention to Detail – With speed and precision being a priority in manufacturing, it is essential for workers to be both focused and detail-oriented.
  • Understand and Read Technical Drawings –  We often manufacture and supply arched frames, technical drawings are used as a blueprint to ensure size and shape accuracy.
  • Critical Thinking – Today’s manufacturing worker must be able to think on their feet and troubleshoot small problems as they occur. They must have the ability to make sound, in-the-moment decisions in response to unforeseen issues.
  • Strong Communication – Be able to communicate effectively with their team. Able to work with their co-workers to troubleshoot issues and achieve the greater goals of the Company. Strong communication skills show you are a team player who’s committed to the overall success of the Company.
  • Interest and Aptitude for Technology – Demonstrate an interest in technology and a desire to learn it.
  • Dependability – Arrive on time and ready for the day. Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you are not rushing to your station and are fully prepared for the day. When committed to working extra hours, this is treated the same as your contractual hours.
  • Ability to be cross-trained/ help train others – With a more varied workload and a stronger skill set, employees will be more effective and efficient in their jobs. Must be able to work in key areas of production to cover holidays and sickness and more importantly to meet demands in the marketplace. Once trained, be prepared to pass these skills to other individuals within the business.

Daily Activities and Responsibilities:

Assemble Products and Parts
A production worker’s main duties involve assembling products or components within a factory setting. The specifics of this duty can depend largely on the Area within the Warehouse.

Follow Production Specifications
Production workers must follow production guidelines and specifications. In most cases, this includes performing spot checks on parts or products before sending them to other production workers. Production workers are responsible for ensuring that their output is consistent and correct to guarantee product quality and prevent manufacturing delays when the product reaches the quality control stage.

Operate and Maintain Machinery
Many production workers use specialized machinery while working on the production line and need to follow best practices for safe operation of these tools. In some cases, this can include performing routine maintenance on the machinery, while in other cases the production worker needs to report performance issues or hazards to their supervisor so that machine failure does not impact productivity.

Enhance Production Efficiency
Throughout the manufacturing process, production workers identify opportunities to enhance efficiency without sacrificing product quality. They may identify areas where production slows down and determine a solution that speeds up the entire line or, may find a more efficient way to perform their specific duties. Production workers collaborate with Supervisors and other team members to introduce these efficiency enhancements and measure their efficacy.

Maintain Production Line Safety
Because they work with machinery that can cause injuries, production workers also play a vital role in workplace safety. Production workers not only need to follow best practices for safe operation and processes, but they must also ensure that other elements of the production line do not present safety hazards. Production workers also maintain clean workspaces and provide incident reports in case of an accident.
